INFORMATION,
ORIENTATION AND ADVISE CAMPAIGN ON MOBILITY
The
European Commission's mobility information campaign in
2003/2004, aims at raising awareness of the advantages
of jobs and learning mobility, with a wide range of information
activities across Europe.
Much of the Mobility Information Campaign will be focused
around a series of projects to take place over the year
2003/2004.
The projects have been carefully selected following a
call for proposals to represent a good spread of initiatives
from across the European Union in order to raise the issue
"Job Mobility - Your future?" and get the slogan
across in a variety of ways and for a variety of different
audiences, including:
- a Women's mobility campaign in the Mediterranean area
- a Trades Union mobility information bus
- the recruitment problems in the engineering and construction
sectors
- using cartoons to explain freedom of movement in easy-to-follow
terms
- the recruitment and mobility needs of SMEs
- crossborder job and training opportunities
- using radio phone-ins as well as the Internet to advise
on mobility issues
- a large-scale international job fair
- setting up a photo competition about mobility for young
people
