of YleX
YleX is a multimedia, national radio channel offering new
music. The channel was founded on 13 January 2003. It’s
more than just radio, since listeners will also be increasingly
approached through the Internet, mobile and various events.
In addition, YleX collaborates with YLE television channels.
The
programmes on mornings and afternoons consist of talk show-type
broadcast flow, with the emphasis on radio personalities.
Midday on weekdays, the channel offers edited stories on
themes of interest to the target group. In the evenings,
the channel broadcasts special programmes featuring the
most important musical genres right now.
YleX
is a channel for new music. It will seek to highlight new
Finnish and foreign music and to be a key influence in the
field of pop and rock. 67% of the channel’s output
will comprise music.

- YleX is going to run the campaign on Thursday 13th of
May
- Headline of the campaign is Work – Study –
Live in Europe
- Part of the campaign YleX is going to run the quiz on
the radio, which consist questions about European Union
for instance how many new member countries are going to
join in European Union.
- From the EuroAction –day until European Parliament
election YleX broadcasts six-part series about people who
works in European Parliament and Commission.
Themes
- YleX Morning show is going to interview young people who
studies music abroad
- YleX Today programme is going to offer edited stories
on themes of working abroad, how you can get the job abroad
and what kind of things you have to notice; social security,
taxes, work permits etc. Quiz, which consist questions about
European Union
- YleX Afternoon show is going to offer on themes of travel
abroad. Listeners are able to write experiences about travelling
in different countries in Europe via internet.
- The programme for students. YleX offers special programme
for students on Thursday evenings. It consist edited stories
about studying in Finland and abroad.
- YleX website, www.ylex.fi, offers links to different web
pages which offers information about studying abroad.
- YleX offers also lot of European music in the evening
show
